Dora M Garza

Dora M. Garza, 71, of Fremont, passed away Monday, December 14, 2015 surrounded by her children and husband at Fremont Memorial Hospital. She was born the daughter of Sylvestre and Albessa (Almeida) Mejia on October 25, 1944 in Cameron County, TX. Dora devoted her life to raising her 5 children and took great pleasure in being a grandmother. Her grandchildren were the love of her life. She enjoyed word search puzzles, working in her flower garden, reading, praying, and was fond of angels. Dora also attended Grace Community Church.

Surviving are her husband, Roberto Garza of Fremont, OH, children, Bessie Arellano Arndt (Toby) of Auburndale ,FL, Diane Arellano Walters (Mark) of Fremont, OH, Sonia Arellano of Fremont, OH, John Gonzales Jr. (Lori) of Fremont, OH, Irene Gonzales-Miller (Scott) of Monroeville, OH, father to her children, John Gonzales Sr., of Lindsey, OH, sister, Maria Del Refugio Garcia of IL, brother, Adolfo Mejia Sr., of TX, grandchildren, Jacob Workman of WV, Gabriella Workman Kelley (James) of WV, Austin Arndt of FL, John-Luke Gonzales, Josh Gonzales, Ashley Walters, Cody Walters, all of Fremont, Sam and Mirena Miller of Monroeville, OH, great-grandchildren, Julian Gonzales, Camryn Kelley, and many nieces and nephews.

Dora is preceded in death by her parents and first husband, Jorge Arellano.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Keller-Koch-Chudzinski Funeral Home, 416 S. Arch Street, Fremont, OH, 43420. Memorial services will be Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Grace Community Church. Pastor Forrest Kirchenbauer will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the family or to donor’s choice.
