He was born October 24, 1928 in Fremont the son of Michael and Ludwina (Wesolek) Buczek. He was a 1946 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. He was employed with Spieldenner's Carpet from 1948-1992 (44 years) as a carpet layer. He was a lifelong member of the former St. Casimir Church, member of the Historical Society, and member of the Arthritis Society. He was also a monitor on the Blue Bird Trail for the Green Creek Wildlife Society as well as a former member of the Fremont Camera Club.
He is survived by his brother, Edmund (Betty) Buczek of Fremont; niece, Kim (Gary) Reedy of Fremont; nephews, Jeff (Brenda) Buczek and Tim (Julie) Buczek, both of Fremont; five grandnieces; four grandnephews; three great nieces; and one great nephew.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, July12, 2011 from 9:00-10:45 a.m. at Keller-Ochs-Koch-Mason Funeral & Cremation Service, 416 S. Arch St., Fremont. A Mass of Resurrection will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church with Fr. Kenneth Lill officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association c/o of the funeral home.
