Timothy F. Eakin

Timothy F. Eakin, age 74, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, winged his way to heaven to meet his Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. He was born on April 28, 1950 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Fred J. and Mary C. (Reilly) Eakin. Tim graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1968 and later attended IPFW, where he played on the inaugural men's soccer team. He was a longtime sales representative for Zep Corporation, and was the original owner of the Munchie Emporium Restaurant on Broadway and Taylor Streets in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Tim was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Tim was married to the love of his life, Hanna for 27 years until her passing on December 3, 2018. Survivors include his children, Elizabeth, Alexander, and Michelle all of Fort Wayne, Indiana, grand-daughter, Audrey Eakin, and sister, Carma Reiss of Surprise, Arizona, and brothers, Phillip Eakin of San Diego, California, and John Eakin of Fort Wayne, Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial Celebration will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Fr. James Kumbakkeel will officiate the Mass. Burial will be at the Ray Covenanter Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana.
