Phillip was born on September 4, 1940 in Angola, Indiana, the son of Roscoe F. and Christine (Stroh) Deller, they preceded him in death.
Phil attended Scott Center School and Angola High School until 1959.
He worked in all facets on the family dairy farm. He was a good, hard worker and helped neighboring farmers. Phil worked at RISE in Angola for many years. He was a competitor in several events of the Steuben County Special Olympics.
The name Phillip means lover of horses, but Phil loved all animals. He showed Ayrshire cattle at the county 4-H Fair.
Phil enjoyed people, especially his nephews and nieces; Dora Deller of Michigan, Adam & Kristen Deller of St. Croix, Vanessa Coolman of Lima, Peru and Travis Coolman of Virginia.
Phil is also survived by his brother Duke of St, Croix and a sister Elaine & Vaughn Coolman of Fremont, Indiana and great nephews and nieces; Caiden, Kayla and Keeva Deller and Loren Gauthier.
He was also preceded in death by an infant brother Dick R. Deller.
Visitation will be from 1 pm until 3 pm Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.
The funeral service will be held at 3 pm Sunday, October 12, 2014 at the Beams Funeral Home, with Rev. Darin Hendrey officiating.
Burial will be at Jordan Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana.
Memorials may be made to the Steuben County Special Olympics or to the Steuben County Humane Society.
