James Harold Dugan

James Harold Dugan, 91, of Angola died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, at Northern Lakes Nursing Center in Angola. He had lived most of his life in the Vincennes area until recently moving to Angola.
Mr. Dugan was an agronomist, retiring after 32 years of service with the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Knox County.
He was a graduate of Oaktown High School and had attended Purdue University.
Mr. Dugan was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II who served at Normandy and the Rhineland.
He was a member of the Vincennes American Legion Post for 55 years and was a member of the Vincennes United Methodist Church.
Mr. Dugan was a pilot. He enjoyed woodworking.
He was born April 17, 1921, in Oaktown, Ind., to Orville and Zetta (Bradenberg) Dugan. He married Mayme Gasser in 1941 and she died in 1984. The then married Imogene L. Gilmore in 1986. She survives in Angola.
Also surviving are a sister, Juaketa Stout of Angola and three nephews, Allen R. Stout of Fremont, James W. Stout of Kendallville and Gregory L. Stout of Tampa, Fla.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Vincennes with military services by members of the Vincennes American Legion Post. The Rev. Paul Wagner will officiate.
Memorials are to the Vincennes United Methodist Church.
Beams Funeral Home in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
