Reynaldo Ivan Flores

Reynaldo met his first love Amy Flores in 1974. They were married on 1982 in Dededo, Guam USA. Together they raised two loving sons: Rey Isiah Flores and Joshua Kyle Flores.

He was born to parents Toy and Maria Flores on 04/12/1953 in the Philippines, oldest of 5 children. He is survived by his brother Toy Flores of Idaho, June Flores of Sanger, California, Nellie Loyola of Virginia Beach, and Lyn Becker of Florida.

Correctional/Peace Officer Reynaldo Flores retired from the Santa Clara County Sheriff‘s Department after over 20 years of dedicated service.

Rey was the first Athletic Director at the University of Guam where he started sports programs and international athletic events

Reynaldo was honored in 1975 and 1979 with a 2-time Gold Medals as Guam national basketball player at South Pacific Games (like the olympics island style).

He had a Master’s degree in Recreation Administration at Indiana University on an athletic scholarship.

His passion and talent included coaching & playing basketball, spearheading international athletic leagues, loved to travel and cruise, sports, enjoyed dining out, lucky at bingo, mahjong, and hanging out with close friends.

The family has entrusted Lima Milpitas-Fremont Mortuary and Cedar Lawn Cemetery with the funeral arrangements. Flowers can be sent to the mortuary before the burial service on December 19.

A funeral service, viewing is scheduled for for December 19, 2020 from 11 AM to 12 Noon, cremation follows. Lina Milpitas-Fremont Mortuary

Father Eddie Obero will officiate the burial services on Dec. 19.

Due to Covid, inside and outside dining restaurants are closed.

Rey’s final resting place will be at Saint Francis of Assisi Memorial Garden in south San Jose containment and blessing on Monday, December 21.
