Gloria Stareka Patterson aka (Reeka) was born in Oakland, California on February 24, 1998, to Carolena Williams and Anthony Patterson II. Gloria was a happy, healthy humble baby with a head full of hair, long eyelashes, and smooth almond color skin. She was the fourth child of her mother and her father's first daughter. Gloria was a daddy's girl and she loved to hear her father sing to her while she played in her play pin. Reeka loved to eat and drink multiple bottles as a child, she never was full or got enough to eat. She was baptist as a child and attended church regularly with her family. Reeka was a generous, goofy and humble person. Her favorite color was red and she loved to play in makeup/model. She was a sensitive and spiritual person that loved her family and friends deeply.
Reeka was adored by her teachers and admired by her friends for her genuine angelic spirit. Reeka loved learning in and out of school. She wrote several essays on Civil Rights leaders and social issues in her community. She traveled to Washingon DC with her principal Emily Wade-Thompson to see the Nations Capital as a result of her hard work on social matters. Reeka had perfect attendance and she was a consistent honor roll student. She earned countless certificates of academic achievements and trophies for basketball and dancing. SFUSD recognized her for her outstanding grades, perfect attendance and the incredible report she wrote on mayor Willie L. Brown Jr. Reeka was an amazing young devoted scholar, as a result, she graduated from high school and decided to jump into a fast past career at Tesla and explore her interest in cosmetology. Reeka will be remembered for her generous heart, willingness to help others and her love for food, flawless makeup, and music.
On June 21, 2019, Gloria Stareka Patterson received her wings and awaits the resurrection. She will be joining her father Anthony, Maternal grandmother, Marie, and grandfather, Jules, and uncles Tony and Kevin in paradise. Gloria (Reeka) leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Carolena Williams, Niesha Lasha Gaines her big sister and Fredrick Gaines III, Anthony Earl Patterson III, Keys Zaire Patterson, Jeremiah Darnel Patterson her devoted brothers. Aiyonna Sarai Gaines and Ny’Ron Vincent, Anezka Aea Gaines her nieces, Jamal B. Gains, and Cario Nazir Gains her nephews. Tachelle Herron-Lane, her favorite big cousin, and Capricia Alexis her cousin Sheliah Marie Williams, Louise Williams, Tricia Patterson, Sandy Patterson her aunts. Clifton Patterson her uncle. Gloria Williams and Gloria Patterson her Grandmothers. A host of relatives and friends that she leaves to cherish her memories.
