Emma was many things to many people. Daughter, Sister, Cousin. Wife, Mother, Aunt. Grandmother. No matter what relationship you had with her, it was special. It was unique. It belonged to you and to her. It transcended all of these titles, these aspects. And, she was still so much more.
She was a lioness who protected her family. She was an inspiration. She doled out wisdom and clarity. And she loved with a heart that was too big to comprehend. She healed with a slight touch. Made things better with her great, big smile. She was inscrutable one minute, then easy to understand the next.
But, most of all, she did not judge. Rather, she wanted truly what was best for you. She was your friend. She was "Auntie". She was "Ma". She was "Mama".
She didn't ask for the material. She found comfort and wonder and happiness in the heartachingly simple every day things in life. Her happiness was her family. All of her family.
Emma was many things.
Above all, she was loved and she will be greatly missed.
Arrangements under the direction of Lima Family Milpitas-Fremont Mortuary, Fremont, CA.
