Born October 24, 1950 to Richard and Doris Taggart, she attended Ridge High School in Basking Ridge NJ and studied education at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She called many places home throughout her life, including New York, Florida, and Virginia.
Her greatest joy in life was her family. She is survived by her two daughters, Kate (Greg) Kosior of Pierre SD and Judy (Lucas) Szabo of Springfield VA. She loved being Nana to her four grandchildren Riley, Leah, Buddy, and Winston, and took great delight in getting into mischief with them. She also leaves behind her brother Richard (Lisa) Taggart of Norwalk CT and a niece and nephew. She was pre-deceased by her parents and her son-in-law Michael Kosior.
Sue was an avid NY Times Crossword Puzzle solver, coffee addict, and crafter. She loved holidays, she was an active Girl Scout leader and volunteer for two decades, and she was a great friend to animals. No doubt she was greeted in heaven by lots of wagging tails and purring. One of the great joys in her life was tucking into a lobster dinner, and she was a great cook. We will never smell vanilla without thinking of her. Sue loved teaching and touched many lives through education and tutoring. She will be sorely missed.
In her memory, donations can be made to your local animal shelter or Girl Scout council.
