Sophronia Jean Smith

Sophronia Jean Smith age 76, of Fredericksburg Virginia passed away on Tuesday, November 21 2023. She was born on September 14th, 1947, In McDowell County West Virginia. She was the eldest of 11 siblings and naturally became the caretaker for her younger brothers and sisters. She was full of life. She enjoyed studying the bible, dancing, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Everyone who met her felt the love pouring from her huge heart. As a Jehovah’s Witness she was very passionate about her faith and loved to share her beliefs with others. She was a very gracious person and had a forgiving heart. These were qualities that she tried to instill in her children and everyone she encountered. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Willie Hudson, and her sister Priscilla (Bob) Smith. She is survived by her loving husband Albert Smith Sr., her children Sharon (Rashad) Driscoll, Albert (Jervett)Smith, and Marian Smith. Siblings Nannetta(Marshall) Johnson, Frances Anthony, Frank (Valerie) Hudson, Stephen (Diane) Hudson, Sadie (Kermit) Stockton, George (Yolanda) Hudson, Micheale (Eugene) Henderson, Cynthia (Ricky) Williams, Gerald (Teresa) Hudson, grandchildren Anthony Smith, Rashad Driscoll, Voshon Carpenter, Shiasia Driscoll, Carrie Smith, Saveyon Deas, Rashid Driscoll, Johanas Smith, and four great children Josiah, Scarlett, Rashad III and Kay’sun and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. A visitation for Sophronia will be held Friday, December 1, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 1621 Emancipation Hwy, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401. A funeral service will occur Friday, December 1, 2023 at 1:00 PM, 1621 Emancipation Hwy, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401. A burial will occur Friday, December 1, 2023 at 2:00 PM, 1621 Emancipation Hwy, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401.
