A person may only have one chance to get it right. I married my lifelong love almost 40 years ago. Through all the years I cherished every moment I had with her, she is my wife, partner and best friend. We did the best we could with our lives together. I know with all my heart and soul we will reunite someday. She endured a lot of pain in her later years but her glowing bright spot was her grandson, who she cherished with all her heart.
She leaves behind her husband, Robert “Toney” Gallahan Jr.; daughter Melanie Gallahan Smith; grandson William “Liam” Smith; sisters, Charlene Thompson and Calene Curtis; and brothers Jay T. Wyne and Mike Payne. She is preceded in death by father James Richard Wyne; mother Betty Ann Legacy Payne; and brother Randall Curtis.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2022 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 27 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with interment following at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
From Marlene, As long as we have memories, yesterday remains. As long as we have hope, tomorrow waits. As long as we have love, today is beautiful, and as long as we have God, anything and everything is possible. Amen.
