Linda Galyen Carden

Linda Galyen Carden, 70 of Fredericksburg, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. She retired as owner/operator of Down Under hair, nail, and tanning salon in Fredericksburg. She enjoyed gardening and always had beautiful flowers. She is survived by her husband, William Carden Sr.; three sons, David Bartlett Jr, Darrin Bartlett and William Carden Jr.; sister, Carolyn Lampert; two brothers, Victor Jordan and Cliff Galyen; and a special cousin who spent the last months caring for her and traveled on many cruises together, Sharon Lapier. Kristina Ritter was especially close to Linda’s heart along with her children Amanda and James. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Clift. A Celebration of life will be held on Tuesday August 10, 2021 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel at 1:00 pm, with entombment to follow in Oak Hill Cemetery In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her name to Shriner’s hospital for children or St Jude’s children’s hospital.
