Karen Janice Miller, age 85, of Fredericksburg, VA passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at the Paramount Senior Living of Fredericksburg.
She was born on April 10, 1937 in Wilcox, Nebraska the daughter of Loren and Ardyce (Lindstrom) Woollen. She was a member of the Benchmark Baptist Church in Spotsylvania.
Karen was a loving wife, mother, grandma, and great grandma. She was a preschool teacher, and loved working at Shoney’s. She was a faithful Christian and was very passionate in her faith. She made the best cinnamon rolls and her church family always looked forward to them at the potluck dinners. She loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. Most of all we will miss her great smile and her hugs and kisses. She made the world a better place and all who knew her were blessed.
Her two brothers, Rex and Jack Woollen, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her two sons, Daniel L. Miller of Fredericksburg, VA, Jonathan B. Miller of Arlington, VA; two daughters, Pamela S. Miller of Ruther Glen, VA, Janice L. Miller of Old Saybrook, CT;
5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00pm Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Monday, December 12, 2022 at the Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg with Rev. John Hodgen officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Fredericksburg, VA.
