John Douglas Tobin Jr. "Doug" of Fredericksburg, Va born on September 30, 1961 passed away due to surgical complications on September 15, 2023 at Henrico Doctor's Hospital in Richmond, Va at the age of 61. Doug was born in Baltimore, Md to John Douglas Tobin and Anne Fleming Tobin. He had two brothers David and Michael and one sister Margaret Anne (Meg). Following his graduation from Vestal High School in Vestal, Ny in 1979 he went on to attend Western Connecticut State University where he obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing. This kickstarted a long successful career as a Contract Manager for Lockheed Martin in Springfield, Va. Doug and his wife Jamie were married in 1985 and went on to celebrate almost 38 happy years together. During that time they shared three daughters Tyler, Julie and Danielle. In April of 2022 Doug proudly retired to enjoy spending more time with his family. He and his wife Jamie were recently able to enjoy several trips to include a very memorable visit to Bermuda. He never gave up an opportunity to spend time with his four grandchildren who all lived locally. Aside from his grandchildren he had two beloved dogs Maddie and Lucy. Doug was also an avid sports fan who rooted for the NY Yankees, NY Giants and JMU Dukes. However, we can't forget the local Fredericksburg Nationals who he spent this past season working for. Doug was predeceased by his father John Douglas Tobin and father-in-law Brant Cover. He is survived by his wife Jamie Tobin, daughter Tyler Oravetz, son-in-law Daniel Oravetz and their children Shawn and Quinn, daughter Julie Tobin and her children Mollie and Blake, daughter Danielle Tobin and her fiance Matt Servideo, mother Anne Tobin, mother-in-law Patricia Cover, brother David Tobin, sister-in-law Lorraine Tobin, brother Michael Tobin, sister-in-law Jodi Tobin, sister Meg Brennan and brother-in-law Corey Brennan.
