James Francis Curtin

James "Jim" Curtin was born December 6, 1923, in Brooklyn, New York. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 44 years, Lauretta. Jim is survived by his four sons, Paul, Jimmy, Thomas, and John, and his two daughters, Martha and Mary. Jim was a beloved grandfather and is survived by his seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Jim was a highly decorated World War II veteran, and enjoyed entertaining loved ones with stories from his time as a fighter pilot. While in the Air Force, Jim flew 93 successful missions in service of his country. Jim was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held for Jim at 10:45 am on January 17, 2023 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in East Islip, New York, with a burial to follow at Calverton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of one’s choice is appreciated.
