In Loving Memory of Eleanor G. Lueders.
April 4,1931 - January 28, 2024
Eleanor Garris Lueders, 92 of Spotsylvania, Virginia passed away on January 28, 2024 at Bickford of Spotsylvania Assisted Living & Memory Care.
Eleanor was born on April 4, 1931 in Portsmouth, Virginia, daughter of the late Albert & Lilian Garris. She is survived by her husband of twenty years William (Bill) Lueders of Spotsylvania, Virginia and her loving Daughter Patricia A. McArtor and Son In Law Tim McArtor of St. Petersburg, Florida.
Eleanor loved listening to music and dancing with her Husband Bill on the 82 cruises they took throughout the Caribbean Islands. They enjoyed the many cruises during their twenty years of marriage and loved going to listen to the music in the evenings, winning many dance contests. She loved the food and cultures of the many islands they visited. Bill was a loving Husband who devoted the years of their marriage to doing everything to make Eleanor happy every minute of their lives together. The last few months of Eleanor's life were spent in Memory Care and Bill spent many hours trying to comfort her, although most of the time she did not realize who he was and where she was but Bill remained by her side.
Funeral services will be held at a date to be determined at Arlington National Cemetery.
The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers at this time of their loss. A special thanks to the staff of Bickford of Spotsylvania for the support and services they provided to Eleanor during her stay at Bickford of Spotsylvania.
