Being an only child and grandchild Dee was shown a lot of love, support and attention from her family. After she graduated High school she went on to receive her Associates degree in nursing. Soon after her nurse's training her family moved to V.A. Dee and her late husband Marvin A. Oliff owned and operated the Cotillion motel in Atlanta GA and Browns motel in Stafford Va for many years. After ending the motel business she returned to nursing at Mary Washington Hospital as an RN and retired in 1993. She was a member of the Eastern Star fraternity, also a devout member of the Salvation Army Church. Dee was very outgoing, full of life and fun to be around. She was also a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Dee will be missed by many.
Dee was proceded in death by her husband Marvin A. Oliff.
She is survived by 7 children Helena Melear, Marvin A. Oliff Jr, JoAnn Grubbs (John), James R. Oliff, Jay Loveless (Mary Beth), David Loveless, and Lynne Martineau, 25 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 19 great great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 11am Saturday Jan. 11th at the Salvation Army Church in Fredericksburg, with a reception to follow. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army Church.
