If you are reading this…I, Darnell G. Dunn, have gone to be with my Lord and Savior Christ Jesus on March 11, 2023. My request at this time is to share with you a poem that the Lord inspired me to write entitled “Love”.

Isn’t it amazing how love never fails, wrinkles, or

turns to rust…

It is always faithful, kind, forgiving, and full of trust.

With arms open wide Love receives the prodigal son

or daughter back to the fold…

Each are broken and repentant…yearning for Grace’s hold.

God is Love and He sacrificed His perfect Son to wipe

away our sin…

Jesus rose from Death’s grip…

So that we could forever be with Him!

Heaven is open to those who pray with a

repentant heart and a willingness to follow His Way…

He yearns to guide our steps each and every day.

With His indwelling Holy Spirit we can learn the Truth

of life…

Through His Word we can overcome the world that is

full of evil and strife.

Love is Sacrificial…Love is Hope…Love is Eternal…the

only thing that lasts…

Love Restores and forgets the sins of the pasts.

So come to Him all you who are heavy laden and He

will give you rest…

Knowing Him as Lord and Savior, you will be truly blessed!

We have all been prodigals…Romans 3:23: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…

Our Father wants us back… John 3:16: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and Only Son, that whoever believes (faith, follows, obeys) in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Romans 10:9-10: If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Matthew 3:8 Produce fruit in keeping with repentance.

Galatians 5: 22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Instead of a service for me, I humbly request that you reflect on God’s Word.

Turn your heart to the one who Loves you so much that He gave His life for you.

Take the time to help someone in need. Reach out to a hurting soul. Forgive and seek forgiveness.

To my faithful and loving husband, my beloved children and stepchildren, daughters-in-law and son-in-law, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, family, and friends I will love you forever.
