IN THE CARE OF
Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service
It is with heavy hearts the family of Christine Nicole “Nikki” Coffey, 34, of Fredericksburg, VA, wishes to acknowledge her life and sudden passing on March 23, 2020.
First and foremost, Nikki was a loving and devoted mother that rarely let her son, Cole, out of her sight. He was her proudest achievement and brought her more joy than anything else in this world. Her favorite pastime was photographing and capturing memories with him.
Nikki was a 2003 Stafford High School graduate, and worked as a receptionist for many years at Outlooks for Hair, where she made friendships that she treasured with all her heart. Nikki will always be remembered for her piercing blue eyes, radiant smile, sweet disposition, and sense of humor. Nikki loved her grandparents and family beyond measure and her love remains here on earth where we will pass it along to her son. We are so extremely proud of her choice to become an organ donor. Through her gifts, she was able to give others a second chance. She is a hero to many and while we will miss her tremendously, we can take comfort knowing Nikki is home with our Heavenly Father and her father, Dee Matherly.
Nikki is survived by her son, Cole Mitchell; mother, Cassandra Coffey; the brother she adored, Kyle Coffey (Mary Gouldman); her grandparents, Mickey and Carol Coffey; Aunt and Uncle Valerie and David Wolff; Aunt and Uncle Ronda and Hugh Newton; her treasured niece and nephew Kylee and Calvin Coffey; loving cousins, Kaylan Wolff, Austin Carpenter and Mason Newton; and Steven Harding, father of Cole.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Nikki will be laid to rest privately at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date. The family requests that if you have memories, photographs or video messages you would like to share, please e-mail [email protected]. Online condolences may be left for the family at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, a fund is being set up for Cole; details are forthcoming. Further information will be made public on Nikki’s Facebook page and can be requested at the e-mail address above.
