Ashley Alizabeth Flak

Ashley Alizabeth (Hamilton) Flak, beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, mother, wife, and friend to all, died Thursday, March 2, 2023, at the age of 29 in Spotsylvania Va. She was born on August 11, 1993 in Fredericksburg Va. Ashley was a devoted mother and worked incredibly hard to give her son Justin a great life. Ashley loved going to the beach every year with her family and lived life to the fullest. Ashley’s love for animals was known by everyone who knew her. From kangaroos in Australia to horses in Virginia, there wasn’t an animal that she didn’t come in contact with or have deep knowledge. She worked in animal control, Veterinary offices, and as the manager of DK's Coffee and Ice Cream in Mineral, VA. She loved to laugh and be around friends and family. Ashley is survived by her husband, JJ Flak; son Justin Flak; younger brothers Dylan, David, and Dalton Hamilton; mother Amy Hamilton; father David Hamilton; and grandparents Steve and Fran Detwiler. A service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service (1621 Emancipation Hwy, Fredericksburg Va. 22401). The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. A follow-up “Celebration of Life” will be held directly afterwards at the American Legion (8456 Brock Rd, Spotsylvania Va. 22551).
