IN THE CARE OF
Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service
Anne Vance Stacy, age 91, of Fredericksburg, Virginia passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024.
She was an incredible mother who was always there when we needed her. She was loved by all who met her and loved all who came her way. She led a life of service to her community, including: the Florida Blood Bank, where she received honors for the gallons and gallons she donated. Meals on Wheels, Volunteer Mangrove Educator at her favorite beach, Fort Desoto Park, docent volunteer for the Florida International Museum and she made countless donations to the SPCA as well as rescued her beloved black kitty, Betsy. These are just to name a few.
Our family thought of her as Mother Christmas and Queen of Holidays. She lived in, and traveled to, many beautiful countries and toured her favorite places in the United States. She also shared the gift of theater, movies, music and art with her family and friends. Mom lived a beautiful life of love, honor, and integrity. She will be greatly missed, but always in our hearts.
She was predeceased by her parents, Adeline and Samuel Vance, her siblings Bess Hageman and Joseph Vance, and most recently her granddaughter Samantha Festa, this past September. She is survived by her children, Vance, Scott and Marjorie Stacy, her two grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two cousins and her beloved niece Ellen Cazy.
As per her wishes, there will be no services. And, in lieu of flowers, she asked for donations to be made to the SPCA or Humane Society.
