Sharon D Alexander

Sharon D. Alexander, age 76, of Miamisburg, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Kettering Main Campus. Sharon was born in Cloversplint, KY on November 10, 1947 to the late Jack W. and Opal Lee (Gilbert) Sinnamon.

Sharon left Monarch Marking after more than 25 years of service and retired from the Miamisburg City Schools in 2012 after more than 10 years of service. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and was an immense lover of animals. She and Burlon were active members of The Bridge Church (formerly 1st Baptist Church) in Miamisburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Burlon Alexander; her step father, John D. Houston; her brother and sisters, John David Houston, Mary K. Krause and Karen Sue Houston. Sharon is survived by her son, James (Matt) Riddell; her step daughters, Julie Amling, Jennifer Bergeron; her grandchildren, Alex, Megan, Hannah, Jot, Faith, Emma, Quin; her brothers and sisters, Sonya Ocker, James L. Sinnamon, Lee Michael (Betty) Houston and Terri (Tony) Robinson.

A visitation for Sharon will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bridge Church, 323 11th Ave, Miamisburg, OH, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM with Pastor John Michael LaRue officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Miamisburg. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Dayton.
