My heart goes out to all of Shane’s friends and family, gone to soon.  Shane was so caring and could brighten anyones day with just a small joke. Mr. Estep was one of my principals at Carlisle in elementary school, anytime there was a problem or someone was feeling down he would always take the time to make everything better. People who knew him would know how loving, caring, thoughtful, and funny he was.

I am so very sorry for your loss!  Mr. Estep was one of my favorite teachers in eighth grade. He truly cared about his students, and it was obvious. He greeted us individually each day and took the time to ask each of us how we were doing. He didn’t go through the motions. He wanted to know how we were, what we did over the weekend, how we were feeling, etc. He was a jokester and loved to tease. I remember him teasing me for bumping into chairs and apologizing. His classroom was always a positive place. 

He will truly be missed!

Shane will be missed. He was such a sweet person.

I remember Shane from back when he was in high school. We were apart of the youth group at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Carlisle. 
He was such a sweetheart.  Very caring and very kind.
I hadn't seen him in many years but I had no doubt that he would grow to be an amazing man. 
It broke my heart to hear about what happened...and my thoughts and prayers go to his family and friends. 

My sincere condolences to your family.  I remember Shane’s smiling face from the years your daughters attended Preschool Discovery.

I will always remember him as the smartest man who told me he was the youngest person to be hired as a school teacher when he was 21.  He prayed over my daughter when she was very sick and he is a man of strong faith.  He always talked about his wife and daughters and would have done anything for them.  Taken way too soon and my heart breaks at the news.  Prayers to his family.

Mr. Estep was such a wonderful teacher. I had him for social studies in 8th grade and he made a really big impact on me. I’m sure more of his students would say the same. It is a true loss. My deepest sympathies to his wife and daughters, he will be greatly missed.

My heart goes out to you all! Shane was gone way to soon for what he had to offer the world and his community! I didn’t know Shane very well but what I did know of him I could certainly see what a kind, gentle man he was. My girls both played basketball for Carlisle and Shane would always make it a point to stop me and tell me personally how well the girls played. He would say their names to make it a more special gesture. That little time he would sacrifice for me or my girls to make us feel special was how I will always remember him. Rest In Peace Shane! To the family, may God comfort you during these hard times. Know that Shane/Daddy will ALWAYS be right there to answer you questions or to talk with you. May the special memories help you laugh and cry with joy each day to help the sorrow and the pain. Thoughts and prayers for you all!

Heather, Hannah and Gabby. We love you. Our hearts are broken for you all. Shane was, as you know, a kind, thoughtful, loving, friendly guy. He was such a good listener.  Each time I talked with him he made me feel as though I was the only person in the room and he gave his undivided attention. So many prayers are being said for you. May you find peace. 

I am heartbroken to hear that Shane is gone. He and I became acquainted when he first joined the junior high staff at Springboro as social studies teacher. I remember him as a quiet, mostly private young man initially. However, as time went by, Shane loosened up and learned to have fun with the rest of our 8th grade team. From that moment on, he and I became friends and often confided in one another at times when we needed to “unload.”
We also shared many moments of laughter in the hallway between our classrooms.
When I retired, I wanted a picture with my team, including Shane. However, Shane was notorious for never showing up in time for faculty photos. After pleading with him a time or two (yes, he was that important to me), he caved and joined the team for a group picture. I am especially thankful for that picture now.
Knowing that Shane’s dream to return to his hometown to be principal finally came true made me very happy for him. I knew just how he felt to work where he grew up because that’s what I did  when I returned to Springboro to teach.
My deepest sympathy goes to you, Heather,  and the girls during this difficult time. Shane often spoke of the three of you with a twinkle in his eye. May his memory and the support of family and friends bring you comfort in the coming days.
