Lynda Sue Hipsher - Monk

Life-long Franklin resident Lynda “Sue” Hipsher-Monk passed away peacefully in the early hours of December 14th, 2024. She was born October 17th, 1941 to mother, Leona (Garrett) Combs and father, Clayton Combs. She was raised in Franklin, Ohio with sister, Connie Combs-Hipsher (Dale) and a Class of 1959 Graduate of Franklin High School. Sue was a loving mother to three children: Regan “Shawn” Hipsher, Ronald “Scott” Hipsher and Rhonda Hipsher-Lamb. She was the most supportive and cherished Nana to her grandchildren and an adoring wife to her husband of 20 years, Ray Monk.

Sue’s kindness, class and loving spirit was adored by many. To know her, was to love her. She was a Quarter Horse and Kentucky Derby enthusiast. She enjoyed a good glass of wine at a local social club, spending time with her family and friends and never missed an opportunity to pass out a hug and live life to the fullest.

Sue’s family asks that she be remembered for the radiance and joy she brought to others in life, not the sadness of her passing.

She is survived by an abundance of friends and family including her husband, Ray Monk. Her children: Ronald Scott Hipsher and Rhonda Hipsher- Lamb (Kevin). As well as her stepchildren with Ray: Chris (Jill) Monk, Keith Monk and Tracey Monk. Her Sister, Connie Combs-Hipsher (Dale). Grandchildren: Sara (Jonathan) Milligan, Andrea (Brandon) Kauffman, Taylor Brewer, Ronnie Hipsher, Haley Hipsher, Courtney Monk, Olivia Monk, and Ryan Monk. Great Grandchildren: Kenton (21), Bryant (19), Lillyara (16), Jordan (16), Ava (15), Gage (13), Harley (8), Thomas (6), Amara (7), Lincoln (5) and Arabella (1).

She was preceded in death by her mother and father Leona and Clayton Combs, late husband and father to her children: Ronald Hipsher, Son: Regan Shawn Hipsher and, Granddaughter: Stacey McLemore.

A visitation for Lynda Sue Hipsher-Monk will be held Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E. 2nd St., Franklin, Ohio 45005, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 PM.
