Kenneth Lee Hamilton (Kenney), age 73, passed away Monday, October 10, 2022 at the Dayton VA Hospital. Kenney was born January 31, 1949 in Middletown, Oh and was raised in Franklin Oh by his loving paternal grandparents, Walker and Ruby (Davis) Hamilton. He was not only a lifetime resident of Franklin that enjoyed his community, he was a true Franklin Wildcat fan.
During 1968 to 1970, Kenney proudly served his country in the US Army. He was a Vietnam War Veteran that said he had no regrets and would gladly do it again. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 7596 and enjoyed playing cornhole at the Franklin Eagles. Kenney was a member of the Lebanon Lodge No. 26 F&AM, Valley of Dayton Scottish Rite 32 Degree Mason.
Anyone that knew Kenney, knew his love for car races. He also like camping, fishing and spending time with his family and friends playing Euchre. He enjoyed being a school bus driver for the Lakota School District before retiring after many years of service.
Kenney is preceded in death by his grandparents, father, mother, 2 daughters, Carey Ann Hamilton and Amy Denise Dillow and one half brother. He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Pamela (Hahn) Hamilton, 6 grandchildren, Dallas Winstead, Matthew Dillow, Misty Gampfer, Jacob Johnen, Rayne and Cane Spence, 3 great grandchildren, one sister, Susan (Steve) Reedy of Carlisle and step son, Chris Spence. Kenney has 3 half brothers, Mike (Becky) Hamilton of Franklin, Steve (Marti) Caskey of Miamisburg, Mark Caskey of West Middletown and 3 half sisters, Kim (Scott Goodman) Zornes of Franklin, Kathy (Mike) Valandingham of Trenton and Karen Miller of Carlisle. He also has many loving nieces, nephews and extended family members that he adored.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at the Anderson Funeral Home-Franklin Chapel, 1357 East Second Street with Pastor James Anderson officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Woodhill Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home on Saturday.
