James Downing Ethridge

James Downing Ethridge, age 84, of Springboro, Ohio passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at the Atrium Medical Center. James was born April 9, 1938 in Fairfield, AL. to the late Charles C and Jackie Estelle (Gilham) Ethridge.

Jim served in the US Naval Reserves from 1955 to 1958 and served in the US Air Force from 1958 to 1963, was a Skilled Trades Supervisor with Moraine Engine/GM for twenty years and retired in 1992. He was a member of the American Legion, the Masonic Lodge, Springboro Christian Church and he enjoyed playing Euchre.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife Eva Nell Etridge; a great granddaughter, Brooklyn VanSkoyck; and his brothers, Charles Franklin Ethridge, Jack Ethridge. He is survived by his two children, James Darrin Ethridge, Candice Ann VanSkoyck; his eleven grandchildren, his eleven great grandchildren; his brother, Richard Thomas Ethridge, his sister, Brenda Joyce Demps and his step brother, Charles Carrol Ethridge Jr.

Funeral Services are 5pm Sunday July 17, 2022 at Anderson Funeral Home 40 N. Main St Springboro, OH with Wayne Mock officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-5pm at the funeral home. Military honors will be given in honor of Jim's service to our country.
