Never forgotten my dear big cousin. ❤️

Strangely enough, just yesterday,  I was telling a couple of friends of how Dorothy travelled to various places when she worked with the Civil Service in the Scottish Office. While she was based in London, she befriended another young woman, Margaret Roberts, who worked in Westminster. They would meet for coffee. Miss Roberts later became better known as Margaret Thatcher, Prime Minister of the UK.

I’ll never forget the time I visited from Edinburgh, Scotland in 1976 when Jennifer and Jeannette were young. Leman drove us all from Ohio to Colorado and we had such a good time. Wherever Dorothy went there was fun and laughter. Gone but definitely never forgotten. ❤️

Jeannette and I were high school friends.  Dorothy must have been a delightful person as she produced a beautiful daughter. 

To me as a younger member of a large extended family, Dorothy was like the glamorous big sister who would touch base every so often when she was home from London, Paris or Geneva. Her mother, my Great Auntie Aggie was the wise loving relation who held us all together. My family spent a lot of time in Cheyne  Street in the area of Stockbridge, Edinburgh.  The adults were devestated when Dot met the love of her life and settled in Ohio USA but sadness turned to joy when Dorothy brought  Leman, Jennifer and Jeannette over (several times) to visit us.  Then Auntie Aggie and Uncle Jim travelled to the States and Uncle Jim came home wearing a stetson, smoking a cigar and with an American accent. There will be fun and games and lots of laughter in Heaven  now that Dorothy has joined them all.  I’ll miss our fun phone calls. Love you Dorothy. Xxx
