Brenda Sue Porter

Brenda Sue Porter, age 79, of Carlisle, Ohio passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Hospice of Dayton. Brenda was born March 4, 1943 in Middletown. OH to the late Ezra and Lillie Mae (Lumpkins) Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Cecil H. Porter; three brothers, Ova Ray Johnson, Gardy Lee Johnson, Jerry Johnson; her sisters, Helen Helton, Dorlene Risner, Delores Jean Johnson and her twin sister, Linda Lou Johnson. Brenda is survived by her children, David (Andrea) Porter, Rhonda (Rusty) Douglas, Debra (Darryl) Highland; her grandchildren, Brandon, Justin, Tommy, Amber, Lyndsey, Ashley, Garrett, Adam, Jack; her great grandchildren, Jasper, Josslyn, Jett, Lucy, Renee; and her sister, Jenny Robbins; and many nieces and nephews.

Brenda was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Carlisle and baptized in 1971. She held many jobs over the years, retiring in 1988 to become a full time homemaker and Grandma. Her last job was at Champion Paper in Middletown, where she made many good life long friends. Brenda enjoyed cooking, gardening, camping, traveling and shopping. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Brenda's nieces Donna and Gwen, and her cousin Ruth.

Graveside service will be 11:00 am Wednesday June 29, 2022 in Butler County Memorial Park, St Rt 73, Trenton, OH 45067. Nephew, Greg Helton, officiating.

Fellowship and lunch will be immediately following the service at Church of God in Jesus, 5604 W. Alexandria Rd. Middletown, OH 45042.
