William J. Rowland

SSG William (Joe) Joseph Rowland passed away peacefully on June 15, 2023. He left this earth and was welcomed home by his son Christopher and Joe was able to spend Father's Day in Heaven with his son.

Joe served almost 21 years in the United States Army. He served two plus tours in Vietnam and surrounding areas. Joe was a Bronze Star recipient. After retiring he worked at Fort Carson, Evans Hospital in the Maintenance Department.

Joe was preceded in death by his son SPC Christopher Rowland, United States Army. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Deborah; his sister, brother and brother in law of Missouri; a brother in law of New Mexico and a sister in law of Oregon as well as numerous cousins , nieces and nephews.

Donations in Joe's honor may be made to Pikes Peak American Gold Star Mothers.

A visitation for William will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary, 6630 S. US HWY 85/87, Fountain, CO 80817. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 10:30 AM, 6630 S. US HWY 85/87, Fountain, CO 80817. A committal service will occur Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 1:30 PM at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expy, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
