He Received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Missouri School of Mines, and later earned a degree in Chemical Engineering. He went to work for multiple refineries and eventually for the United States Air Force. He retired from the Government as Chief intercontinental ballistic Missile Facilities engineer for USAF Space Command at Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
William (Bill) love many things including genealogy, history, authoring, Collecting baseball cards, coins and his car banks. His kids remember him as a square dance caller, and having a love of fishing. He loved cribbage, Louis L’amour books, western movies, fantasy football, watching the Kansas City Chiefs and BYU football and spending time with his family most of all. William was a member of the National Society Sons of the American Revolution.
On May 31, 1963 William married his first wife Sylvia Jean Killough. To this union were born his six kids; Lynne Hathaway, Jonathan Reynolds, Kelley Jo Gregory, Melody Thomas, William Reynolds III and Jared Reynolds.
On August 2, 1997 he married his wife Diane. To this union he gained three kids, Sally Mendoza, Torry Mendoza and Melissa Mendoza. William has 24 grandchildren and 9 great grand children.
William R. Reynolds, Jr. is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and raised his children in the Gospel. He loved singing in the church choir and was a beta tester for the New Family search. At the end of his life ministering family Brother Kendal Carlson and his wife Sister Arlene Carlson brought friendship and comfort to his life through the sacrament and their visits.
William departed this life on January 1, 2022. He was preceded in death by his father, William Rudolph Reynolds Sr.; his mother, Shirley Calton; first wife, Sylvia Reynolds; Grandchildren, Angel Reynolds and Zeniff Hathaway.
