Ian was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on September 28, 1974 to Frank Maldonado and Wilma Jean (Trujillo) Sanchez.
Ian attended and graduated from a local high school and University in the area.
Ian's aspirations and talents were to become a writer, he was so proud when his first short stories and poems were published.
Ian had a heart of gold, a smile and laugh that would light up the room. He loved everyone he encountered, including his four legged companions.
Ian is preceded in death by his father, Frank Maldonado and mother, Wilma Jean Sanchez.
Ian is survived by his brother, Roman Maldonado, grandmother, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of life for Ian will be held Friday, April 28, 2023 from 12:00 PM at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary, 6630 S. US HWY 85/87, Fountain, CO 80817.
