Emilia J. Vargas, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away November 5, 2018 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born December 18, 1953 in Rio Bravo, Mexico and she is preceded in death by her father Monico and mother Emilia Avila. Emily “Cha Cha” lived in Fountain, Colorado for over sixty years. She graduated from Fountain Fort Carson High School in 1971. She worked as a secretary for Prudential Insurance for twenty years and was an Administrative Assistant for school district 8 for ten years. Emily and her husband Roy enjoyed music, dances, visiting all their family and friends, and traveling. She was the rock for all of her family and will be missed very much. She leaves behind her devoted husband and best friend of fifty years Rogelio Vargas. Also, her loving children Rudolfo Vargas and Rita Cortes, precious grandchildren Eric, Erin, Lorenzo, Santiago, Mercedes, and Elena, and her dog Chato. Along with sisters forever, Mary (Marty) Abeyta, Adela (John) Cross, Josie (Rick) Demers, Ruthie (Richard) Fernandez, as well as nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and all of her extended family members and friends. At the family’s request, there will be no services at this time.
