Edward E. Maczko, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away after a brief battle with COVID on November 24, 2020. He was born in Patton, PA October 29, 1941, the fourth of nine children born to the late Michael and Susan Maczko.
Ed graduated from high school in Akron, OH in 1960. He joined the Air Force and served for twenty years in numerous bases in the U.S. and overseas. He retired in 1980, worked as a refueler for CO Jet Center, then started working as a custodian at Fountain-Fort Carson School District Eight. “Mr. Ed” worked at Mesa Elementary for twelve years and retired in 2004.
Ed leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 56 years Peggy (Pieterick) Maczko, daughters Melissa Maczko and Aimee Harris, granddaughter Kaitlyn Harris and grandson Nicolas Lagunsad. He is also survived by his brother, John and sisters Catherine, Mary, Carol and Dorothy and many nieces and nephews; and his other family, the Pietericks, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Ed will be cremated and with a possible burial at Pikes Peak National Cemetery in the future.
