Claudy Gene Crow was born in Antlers, Oklahoma March 7, 1930. During his childhood he grew up in parts of Texas and Montana horseback riding and learning his many crafts. In 1948 he enlisted in the United States Air Force. After serving his country for 4 years, including time stationed in Okinawa during the Korean War, he retired to a life of truck driving to provide for his growing family. Gene and his wife of over 7 decades welcomed 5 children into the world. He retired at the age of 62. For Gene retirement meant home remodels, travel, and time with his over 40 grandchildren. Not many get to see a fifth generation. He lived a very long, full life and passed on June 10, 2023. He will be truly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him!
A funeral service for Claudy will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary, 6630 S. US HWY 85/87, Fountain, CO 80817.
