Service: 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Laurel Land.
William was born Sept. 20, 1926, to John and Goldie Perry in North Carolina. He retired from the U.S. Army. He served in three wars during his time in the Army. He was very proud and honored to have served this great nation.
William was a very talented man. There was not much that he could not do. But the most important skill of all was that of being a great father and grandparent to his family.
William was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Mae; his son, William R. Perry; and his parents and siblings.
Survivors: His six sons; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; as well as many other relatives. He will be missed, but should be remembered that very few leave a legacy as great as his. Loved by many and admired by all.
