William Edward Lowe

William “Eddie” Lowe, 75, passed away on April 12, 2023, after a short illness. An informal memorial for friends and family is scheduled for Saturday, April 29, 2023, from 3 to 5 pm at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 7100 Crowley Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76134.

Eddie was born to Edward and Geraldine Lowe on March 16, 1948, in Beaumont, Texas. He grew up in Whittier California where he graduated from La Serna High School. Under his father’s influence, his early ambition was to be a professional baseball player. Unfortunately, an injury required him to abandon that goal. It was then that Eddie’s interest turned to music, which became a lifelong passion. His dream of being a working musician came true in the 70’s. Eddie played in multiple bands over several decades including U.S. Kids, Gypsy Ryder, The Vandals and Deluxe. These bands played clubs around Texas and Oklahoma and were regulars at Spencer’s Corner in Fort Worth and Mother Blue’s in Dallas. It was through these bands that Eddie made most of his lifelong friends.

Eddie is survived by his wife of 33 years, Karen Bernard and daughter Jessica Lowe. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Tarrant Area Food Bank or St. Labre Indian School in Ashland, Montana.
