Waymon Eugene Alridge was born on December 25, 1934 to the parentage of Ruby and Henry Alridge in Grandview, Texas.
Waymon later moved to Fort Worth, Texas where he received his formal education at IM Terrell High School. Shortly after high school, Waymon was drafted and served in the U.S. Army.
On October 28, 1972, Waymon married the love of his life, Linda. The tl!Vo were inseparable for 48 years, until Linda answered her heavenly call on January 2, 2020.
Waymon accepted Christ at an early age. He continued his Christian walk as member of Beth Eden Baptist church until his health failed
Waymon established an extensive career at Bell Helicopter, where he was widely known as "Big A". He retired from Bell as a celebrated employee, after serving over 45 years.
Waymon had a love for playing dominoes, golf, pool, and traveling the world He never met a stranger. Most people that knew Waymon knew that when asked how he was doing, he would always say he was "FANTASTIC."
Waymon left his earthly home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. He is preceded in death by his wife Linda Alridge, son Johnny Younger, and parents Ruby and Henry Alridge.
He leaves to cherish his memory, Siblings: James Alridge (Shelia) Lloyd Alridge (Carol), Helen Henderson, Linda Burnett, and Anita Martin. Godson Rev. James Christopher, In-laws Betty Mobley, Jack Hayes, Nancy Henry(Carver), Del Gardner Jr. (Tammy), Ava Stevenson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends, and co¬workers.
