Vivian Marie Scott, aged 75, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2024. She was born on January 9, 1949, in Tyler, Texas, and was a proud alumna of Emmett Scott High School and Tyler Junior College, where she earned her bachelor's degree.
On December 31, 1981, Vivian embarked on a journey of love and commitment with her beloved husband, Dennis Scott. As a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse in Family Services, Vivian's nurturing spirit touched countless lives with her boundless compassion. She was an esteemed member of FPV Baptist Church, serving as Mission President, and held positions of honor within the Galilee Griggs Association and the State Baptist Convention, including the role of President.
Vivian's passion for sharing the teachings of God and aiding others blossomed as she became an integral part of Turning Point Church. Her influence extended far beyond her professional and spiritual realms, leaving an indelible impression on her community.
Marcus Young, Byron Young, Mike Whitley, John D. Davis, Andre Major, Frank Alfredo, and Jeffery Houston have been chosen as pallbearers, honoring Vivian's life.
Vivian is reunited in eternity with her mother, Luetter Parnell; father, O'Dell Houston; and brothers, Wesley Young and Thomas Young.
Left to treasure her memory are her devoted husband, Dennis Scott; beloved brother, Edward Houston; and her cherished children: sons Kirkland Raibon, Dennis Scott Jr. and his wife Cynthia Scott, and daughters Angela Raibon, Sherry Hamilton, Turkashia Scott, Chaundra Stokes, and her husband Henry Stokes.
Vivian's legacy lives on through her 10 adored grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
In celebrating Vivian's life, let us remember her boundless love, her unwavering service to others, and her enduring impact on those fortunate enough to have known her. May she find eternal peace in the embrace of her Creator.
