Vince was legally deaf and overcame many educational, occupational and social obstacles. St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church was instrumental in Vince’s formative and youth years where he served as an acolyte. He was an active Boy Scout and leader obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout.
Vince was a graduate of Southwest High School class of 1973. He attended Bee County College and played baseball from when he began playing as a young boy at Blue Raiders in Ft Worth. Vince enjoyed volunteering for the Red Cross especially for weather related disasters. Vince retired from Powr-Flite, a division Tacony Corporation and worked in commercial floor equipment. He began as a teenager working at Southwest Manufactures and Distributors, a company his parents founded and operated. Vince also owned and operated Denton Vacuum Station.
Vince was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony, parents Vince and Clo Genovese. Survived by his sons, Vince lll and wife Leslie Genovese, Christopher Genovese; sisters, Karen (Missy) and husband Gary Dozier, Karol Del Real; niece, nephews and grandchildren.
