Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm, and Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 2:00pm. Both services will be held at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow the funeral service at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
Vera was born on May 10, 1926, to parents Ples and Maud Brumley in Bogata,Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Nelson Brumley.
She is survived by her husband of 75 years, JD Wilson; children, James Wilson, and wife, Tanya, Gene Wilson, and wife, Brenda, Kathy Wilson, Dan Wilson, and wife Debra, and Vana Whitehead and husband, Harold; 14 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her artistic outlook, showed in all that she did. She enjoyed crafting, and had a special talent for painting. She loved the outdoors, along with gardening and planting flowers. She loved all animals and had a special place in her heart for her dog, Sassy.
