Tore was born on May 3, 1939 in Oslo, Norway to Helge and Hjordis Mork. Tore played on the Norwegian youth national soccer team , served in the national army, and went to trade school for printing.
He came to America in 1968 with his friend, 2 suitcases and a dream of buying a Ford Mustang and then returning home. He fell in Love with America and made it his home.
Tore was a Lithographer where he mastered his skill for over 40 years. Tore’s artistic talent flourished after his retirement when he took up woodcarving and painting. His carvings included a Norwegian Seascape, the historic Haddal Stave Church in Telemark and a collection of working electric guitars.
Tore was the type of man who’s never met a stranger and always loved sharing stories of his native Norway, talking about his beloved dog, Mindy and spending time with his family and friends.
Tore was proceeded in death by his parents, Helge and Hjordis Mork.
He is survived by his loving wife JoAnn, his children, Morten, Troy, Monique and two stepchildren Carla and Darren; five grandchildren, Nicolle, Hanna, Elise, Martin and Dustin; two great grandchildren, Aurora and Luna
A celebration of life service will occur Wednesday January 10, 2024 at 11AM
