WATAUGA -- Robert Bruce Strother Sr. passed away Monday, Jan. 5, 2015.
Service: 10 a.m. Monday at Laurel Land Chapel of the Chimes.
The family will receive visitors 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Laurel Land Funeral Home.
Robert was born in April 1936 in Merryville, La. He married JoAnn Magar in July 1955. Robert worked at Bell Helicopter for over 32 years. He proudly served as worshipful master at Stockyards Lodge #1244.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, JoAnn; and their daughter, Debra.
Survivors: Robert's legacy and memories will live on with his sons, Steve and Robby; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and brothers, Elton and Glen Strother.
