Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Davis Blvd. Baptist Church, 5408 Davis Blvd., North Richland Hills. Interment: Laurel Land Cemetery. Visitation: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel.
Memorials: Her memory may be honored with a gift to Gideons International.
Polly Eubanks was born in Newsome, the youngest child of Dr. Beryl Clinton and his wife, Nora. She spent her early years in East Texas and Oklahoma, ending in Dallas where she graduated from Oak Cliff High School. Upon her marriage to J.F. "Watt" Nicholson in 1934, Fort Worth became her home.
Her interests were many and varied. She taught a ladies' Bible class throughout her adult life. In the kitchen, she excelled. As a writer, she sought to express her love, concern for others, and her love for her Lord. She had a deep love for traveling. After her husband's death, she married Mr. Harry Eubanks. She shared her adventurous spirit resulting in many trips to various places. They had 20 years of happiness before his death in 2000.
She was retired from the U.S. Postal System.
Polly was preceded in death by her husbands, J.F. Nicholson and Harry Eubanks; her son, Ralph W. Nicholson; brother, Lewis Clinton; and sister, Marie Ingram.
The family wants to acknowledge Ashwood Assisted Living and Hospice Plus for their love and care during the last few months of our mother and grandmother's life.
Survivors: Son, Donald Clinton Nicholson and wife, Beverly; stepson, Mike Eubanks and wife, Suzy; stepdaughter, Stella Walker and husband, John, of California; grandchildren, Steve Nicholson, Donna Thomas and husband Rob, Sarah Read and husband Shawn; step-grandchildren Laura Matthews, Harry Eubanks, Russell Walker of Maryland, Steven Walker, Stuart Walker; great-grandchildren Wayne Nicholson, Morgan Thomas Vinson and husband Brian, Kasey Thomas, Shelby Thomas, Grace Read, Mason and Jake Kizer of Houston, Colton, Austin, and Jordan Walker of California, Kate and Elizabeth Walker, of Dallas.
