Paul was born to Richard and Shirley Day on September 22, 1968, and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He went to school at Thomas Jefferson High School in Brooklyn, New York, and attended Brooklyn College. He worked as a foreman for Day Piano Movers and worked at BAE Systems.
Paul is preceded in death by his father, Richard Day, and mother, Shirley Day.
Paul is survived by two sisters, Tui Day of York, Pennsylvania, Nava Messersmith, of Fort Worth, Texas, and a brother, Leonard Day of York, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Gerrick Messersmith, sister-in-law, Kelly Day, nephews, Dayvon, Michael, BJ, Jalen, and Donovan, and nieces, Amber, Brooklyn, and Amani.
