Nancy Ardelle Warren WHITAKER, age 76, of Everman, Texas passed away on Monday, July 13, 2020. Nancy was born January 7, 1944 to the parentage of Joseph Warren and Blanche Winckler in Richmond, Virginia. Nancy received her early education in Richmond, Virginia. In 1958, Nancy moved to Los Angeles, California continuing her education. With an innate ability and passion to care for others, Nancy became a registered nurse, all while raising her three children: Ronald, Darren and Karyn.
In 1985, Nancy met and fell in love with John T. Whitaker, where their love proved to be eternal for over 40 years. In 2004, Nancy and John relocated to Fort Worth, Texas and settled in with other family members that moved to Texas in previous years. Although retired, her passion for nursing never wavered; Nancy took on being a school nurse in the Everman ISD and in later years, did some home health care. She joined Greater Sweethome Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir. Nancy was a supportive and living person to all in her life-both family and friends. if you needed some advice, health advice or to drop the children off, she was always available. In her earlier days, she loved to cook, entertain and hang out with her children, as well as her siblings.
Nancy also had a very fun-loving side to her, She enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting, playing board games, challenging you a hand of Gin Rummy, and watching Family Feud with her great-nieces.
On July 13, 2020 Nancy Ardelle Whitaker joined her parents, Joseph Warren and Blanche Wyatt, who have gone to glory before her, resting in the arms of the Lord.
Those who remain to cherish Nancy's precious memories are her husband, John Whitaker, 2 sons, Ronald Warren and Darren Jefferson; daughter, Karen Jefferson; stepdaughter, Lisa Whitaker, sister, Edwyna Lewis (Michael); 2 brothers, Odie Marshall (Mildred) and Ishmael Tarik (Selma); 6 grandchildren, Darrin Warren, Darrin Jefferson, Jr., Shantrece Jefferson, Deja Jefferson, Amada Haro-Whitaker and Opeifa Ogunde-Whitaker; 8 great-grandchildren; 5 nephews, 7 nieces and a hsot of extended family and friends.
