He was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa on July 2, 1946, and grew up in nearby Pomeroy.
He was married to Fran Meyer on December 31, 1988.
Mike was a lifelong devout Catholic. He enjoyed playing Golf, but he cherished time spent with family and friends most. He was lovingly known to us all simply as Mikie or Pa-Pa Mikie.
He is survived by wife Fran Meyer; Son Mitch Meyer; Daughter Mindy Meyer; Stepson Brent Ellerd (wife Denise); Grandchildren Molly Meyer, Lea Byrd (husband JC), Tori Sharp (husband Travis), CJ Ellerd, and Ana Bootpetch; Great-Grandchildren Nikki and Ryker Byrd; Sisters Karen Miller and Pam Devoe (husband Paul); Brother Pat Meyer (wife Becky).
He is preceded in death by sister Janet Graham and Stepdaughter Sandra Harmonson.
