Michael Len Godwin Was born on the 8th day of November in the year of 1959 at Fort Dix Air Force Base in New Jersey to parentage of James & Catherine Godwin. He was the 2nd child of five male siblings. His mother and father ensured their children were raised in the admonition of Jesus Christ. While attending the Worldwide Church of God in Fort Worth, Texas, Michael came to know and accept Him as his Lord and Savior. He found joy in sharing his testimony and the reason for his faith to encourage others.

Graduated from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in 1977 and went on to complete the academic requirements at Tarrant County Junior College. As an employee of Harbor Fisher for several years, as well as, the Tarrant County Food Bank, he was truly admired, respected and known to be a great leader. He united in marriage to Paula Taylor and was blessed with two beautiful daughters and six precious grandchildren.

Was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan, “Win, Lose or Draw”. Along with his keen “sense of humor”, he had many exceptional traits, countless talents, and was best known for his artistic versatility and his conceptualization skills. He could breathe new life into the simplest of things. Michael exerted an unparalleled influence on the development of his craftsmanship.

Life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, he was loved beyond words, and will be missed beyond measure. As we remember this moment, let us cherish his story and celebrate his life, a life well lived and a family he well loved. In humble submission to the Will of God, he is preceded in death by his father in 2009.
