Michael Wayne Clark passed away on June 11, 2018 in Fort Worth, Texas. Michael was born in Fort Worth on December 16, 1966. As a young man he loved to pursue adventure. He liked visiting the piney woods of Eastern Oklahoma where he found his own slice of happiness in the rugged wilderness. He found joy in old pickup trucks and country music. On his guitar he would play and sing classic country songs, while on the piano he would play familiar church hymns. Funny and jovial, yet still shy and reserved, he exuded both perseverance and optimism. He had extensive knowledge of the Bible, capable of reciting scripture by memory, but what’s more is he had a great insight into Christ’s mission in his life. He was a living example of Christian love and charity. His authenticity was captivating and he will be sorely missed.
He graduated from Southwest High School in Fort Worth in 1985. From there he attended Abilene Christian University earning a Business Degree. He then earned a dual MBA and MIS from Tarleton State University. He went on to be a computer programmer for Brin Technologies, J.C. Penny and was a Systems Analyst for Amtrust Financial Services at the time of his death.
In 2013 he married the love of his life Soy Phetsavong. While their marriage had only just begun they had five treasured years together.
Michael was preceded in death by his Father, Marshall Clark. He is survived by his loving wife Soy Phetsavong, his Mother Marjorie Diann Clark and Grandmother Maurice Audry Parham along with step children, step grandchildren, three siblings and a large extended family. There will be a visitation on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. immediately followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Both will be held at Altamesa Church of Christ, 4600 Altamesa Boulevard, Fort Worth, Texas 76133.
