Manuel Marin JR of Ft Worth, Tx, age 68 passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2020. He was a Godly, kind, hard-workIng, happy and gregarious man who loved his family unconditionally and enjoyed good music. He enjoyed traveling with his wife Shirley and little dog Lakota. He was open and warm to all he met and was never at a loss for a good joke. But above all his love for his Savior Jesus Christ, was unmistakable.
Throughout his life Manuel was engaged with his community. As a member of AT&T for 36 years he held various positions. He acted as a lobbyist, and was a legislative member of the Communication Workers of America where he worked on behalf of his coworkers and friends. He was active as a delegate for multiple Democratic conventions, and also managed polling stations. Through his service he even had the opportunity to met presidents Carter, Reagan, and Clinton.
Manuel is preceded in death by his father Manuel Marin Sr., and sister Linda Marin of Ft Worth Tx and his
Mother and Father-in-law Carl and Helen Jones of Woodlawn, Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Jones-Marin, son Micah Marin (Carol); step-son, Gary White Jr. (Stephanie); mother, Margaret Marin; sister Victoria Marin Walton (Russell); brothers Anthony (Christa); Fernando (Denise); 5 grandchildren, Ariel, Austin, Angelo, Max and Sebastian and numerous other family members.
Visitation: 4pm to 8pm Tuesday, June 2nd at Laurel Land Funeral Home.
Service: 2pm Wednesday, June 3rd at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel with the graveside service and internment to follow to Laurel Land Memorial Park, Fort Worth.
