Lucy was born April 29, to Clyde and Eleanor Young. She grew up in Handley and graduated from Eastern Hills High School. She began her professional career with the U.S. Federal Government in 1980, working for the Office of Personnel Management, Internal Revenue Service, Social Security Administration, and 28 years for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), where the last 4 years at NRC, she held the highest position in her field as the Administrative Assistant to the Regional Administrator of the Region IV Office, Arlington and earned the meritorious service award. She retired after 32 years of service in April 2011.
Lucy loved her family and her hobbies, including spending time with her family, lunching with her girlfriends, motorcycling, and traveling with her husband, and gardening. Not to mention she was a wonderful cook.
Lucy was preceded in death by her mother Eleanor Rose Jarzombek- Young, her father Clyde Young, her mother-in-law Jimmie Kawa, her father-in-law Myron Michael Kawa, and her father-in-law George Owen V.
Survivors: Loving husband of 19 years, George Owen VI; daughter Sherry Ann Enoksen; grandson Brandon Andrew Enoksen; step-sons Evan Lee Owen and Chip Owen; brother BJ Young and wife Shel; brother Louis Young and wife Janelle; brother Jim Young; sister-in-law Judy Owen; sister-in-law Annette Bos and husband Robert; and many nieces , nephews, and cousins. She also leaves behind her fur babies Chrissy and Missy.
Memorials: The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lucy’s memory to the ALS Association at alstexas.org.

Services will be Monday 25th at 1:30 pm at St. Rita Catholic Church, 5550 E Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76112. Visitation will be Sunday 24th from 5-8pm at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Home, 7301 E Lancaster, Fort Worth, TX 76112.
